Brian is an ordinary drug trafficker who lived through the golden age of smuggling in the Keys. He still moves shipments through his boat business alongside his third wife, Lori, but he's been in the trade long enough to leave the dirty work to others.
He looks like a sun worshipper but acts like a great white shark. Brian lets Jason live rent-free in one of his properties, as long as he helps with his extortion work and drops by for Lori's sangria every now and then.
