GTA 6 reveals six radio stations and on-demand podcasts

On October 8, 2026, Rockstar Games introduced six GTA 6 radio stations and confirmed a first for the series: on-demand podcasts. Jason and Lucia will be able to listen to radio and podcasts in cars, but also on foot using headphones and earbuds connected to their smartphones. The official announcement provides the first concrete preview of Leonida’s soundscape.

Six stations already introduced

Rockstar is not saying GTA 6 will have only six radio stations: these are the first six to be detailed. The studio describes the overall lineup as its largest and most varied selection of in-game radio and podcasts to date.

• Cocoteo FM: contemporary Latin music with El Martillo and La Gata, from bachata to merengue, dembow and reggaeton.
• Back Country Radio: outlaw country hosted by MW and Delta Dawne, with appearances by swamp reporter and weatherman Mud Dog Mike.
• AfroBank FM: Burna and Palmsy mix African classics, rarities, amapiano and 3-Step.
• The Chamber 106.6: several decades of metal with DJ Kerry and DJ Tom.
• Flash FM: Vice City’s iconic station returns with pop programming hosted by Robyn and Alex.
• Dirty South Classics: Trick and Trina offer regional rap and Southern hip-hop classics.

Podcasts available even on foot

The biggest addition goes beyond musical genres. For the first time in Grand Theft Auto, fictional podcasts will be available on demand. Rockstar specifies that they can be heard in a vehicle or on foot.

On foot, Jason and Lucia will use new headphones or earbuds connected to their smartphones. This detail confirms that audio playing in the world will no longer be limited to the car radio. However, Rockstar has not yet named these shows, their hosts or their duration.

Radio and album: two separate announcements

These stations should not be confused with Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album. The official album brings together 34 original tracks and launches on November 19. Radio stations, meanwhile, represent the programming heard in Leonida, with their hosts, genres and shows.

Rockstar says more information will come later, including details on the dynamic soundtrack and new album singles. The studio is not yet publishing the full list of stations or every track played on air.

What remains to be revealed

The announcement therefore confirms six distinct identities and a new way to listen, but leaves several questions open:

• how many stations there will be in total;
• which podcasts will be available;
• which songs will make up each station’s programming;
• how the dynamic soundtrack will respond to the player’s actions.

These details should become clearer as GTA 6’s November 19, 2026 release approaches.
